I’ve carried the same values over the years. Quality is the number one priority, the guest must be feeling looked after and I must keep myself entertained and happy, to be able to keep loving what I do and keep cooking the best food I can.


About Nicolo
My name is Nicolo, I was born and raised in Torino, Italy. I moved to New Zealand in 2012 first, and after a short stint back home I returned here in 2014. The year after I met Katie in the restaurant where I was working. We married in 2019 and started a family not long after. We have 3 beautiful children: Enrico, Cecilia and Giulio.


Food has always played an important role in my life. I was raised learning the importance of traditions and the culture of eating well. I grew up seeing my mamma and papa’ cooking for us, sneaking raw gnocchi from my nonna’s wooden board on a Sunday lunch at her house, sitting down for hours long lunches or dinner in celebration of birthdays, Christmas, or simply because we were due a family catch up. I’ve always enjoyed working in the restaurant industry. I’ve experienced both the back and the front of house, and after owning and operating my own restaurant, I decided to offer in house service as a private chef for small groups. This way I can spend more time refining the final product, practicing ideas that would’ve been hard to replicate in a restaurant, and connect with the people I cook for, the same way my family was connecting with me when they were the ones cooking for me.
